Cowboy shooting has it all. You get to pretend to be from the old west, have friendly competition, win awards, meet new people from all over the state and country, enjoy spending time with positive people, and you get special leadership training from Rev. Gershwin Grant while enjoying the sport.

This is just one branch of our leadership training ministry which we call the Outdoor Ministry.

What if I don’t know anything about Cowboy Shooting? This should not be an obstacle because we will teach you all that you need to know. What if I don’t have any gear? Any gear that is required we most likely will be able to provide so that you can get started right away. How can I get involved? The cowboy shooting ministry is open to all people who are a part of the Calvary Baptist Church. If you have interest in knowing more about our church or this ministry please email us. How can cowboy shooting teach me anything about leadership? This activity, along with the other outdoor activities, are specially equipped for training for leadership because they allow us to train you in essential qualities that are necessary for leading in any situation. This is done through simulating leadership crises, allowing the opportunity to lead and train others under the leadership of those in charge, and using the competition and training circumstances to teach the necessary character that one must have in order to become the follower of Christ that God desires.
